Seriously, I go way too long between posts that all these basically turn into are long, random photo dumps! The past week has been pretty fun, so let’s see what I’ve got–>
There’s been beer. Obviously. Since Tyler has been on vacation the last two weeks, we’ve been a bit more splurgy in this department. There have been some really good ones and some decent-but-I-wouldn’t-buy-again-ones. I should probably bring back weekly posts to share my beer/wine fund, hey? (That last sentence is so Canadian sounding and I can’t help it).
There have been lots of walks and play. Again, obviously. You can’t NOT go for walks or play when you have a toddler. Keeps both mama and babe happy. We has really loved exploring our new neighborhood and NEVER likes to go home.
And- we got a bouncy house for him. The kid is seriously spoiled to heck. PS: The unofficial name of Airdrie should be ‘Every-House-Has-A-Freaking-Giant-Trampoline’. For reals- practically every backyard has one here. One of our neighbors even has TWO. What the what.
We also made a trip to the zoo. It’s the first time Tyler joined us and he lucked out by having to carry Wes most of the time. When he wasn’t wandering into every bush (Wes, not Tyler).
And trips to every playground humanly possible. I can’t tell which he likes more though- the rocks or going down the slide. I love watching him love both! They make for fun little field trips to get out of the house.
A few of my breakfasts lately- protein waffles, smoothie bowls and overnight oats. SO EFFING TASTY.
Some random photos for ya.
Last but not least….today is Tyler’s birthday! I got him a Vikings themed cake from FrostCake YYCΒ (remember the S’mores cake I got from her? Mmm..)
Happiest of birthdays to my best friend and baby daddy. And sorry for getting you a gift that I’ll eat most of π
Yes, please bring back the weekly beer posts so I know what to try when I go to the liquor store. I get overwhelmed with choice and fear making a bad decision so I end up sticking with my usuals instead of trying new things. Haha.
Ok! I’ll try to throw one together this week of some of the (MANY) we’ve recently tried!
Your waffles-on-the-open-field photo is very artistic. Is that the view from your house? It looks like you’re having a great time exploring the new neighborhood! How fun that you got a bouncy house for Wes. And that cake! Epic.
Yeah! I absolutely love it here π the bouncy house will be a perfect energy-waster in the winter. And yes, the cake: half of it is already in my belly
The parks with the little rocks are good when they want to throw them, but such a pain to walk in! And they make you so dusty. I wish every park could have the rubbery ground. Is that too much to ask? π
Omg I know! And he throws them on the dang slide..drives me crazy!
