Small Shopping- Pint Size Wardrobe

I don’t know if you noticed, but I’m pretty much obsessed with dressing Wes in some cute handmade stuff. Like, crazy obsessed. I have Instagram to blame for that.

A couple of months ago I stumbled upon Pint Size Wardrobe and won a shop credit through one of her giveaways. After much deliberation, I decided on a set of sketch lines leggings and a black marble beanie. They arrived in a matter of days (which is amazing considering it was around the holidays and Canada Post is super unreliable!)

I love the fabric and the sizing was on point (I’m usually really bad about deciding on size and bugged the heck out of Sabrina to ensure I was measuring everything correctly!)

Just shortly after placing my original order, I noticed that Sabrina added raglans to her lineup of products. I NEEDED one for Wes and opted for the shark print she had in stock. Here’s the kicker- I ordered the completely wrong size! #mombrain

Sabrina is AMAZING and sent me another raglan in the appropriate size. I let her pick the fabric and she did not disappoint- this Geo Mountain print is perfect for living in Alberta and the sleeve fabric is stretchy, soft and breathable!

Wes really enjoys getting dressed in the morning and shows a little extra enthusiasm when I bring out these pieces (he’s got a good style eye).

And even though I tempt the Stain Gods with colourful foods, they all wash out great- the print has not faded and the stitching doesn’t show signs of excessive wear.

I asked Sabrina to share a few words on how Pint Size Wardrobe began and here’s what she said:

I’ve always had an interest in anything crafty and DIY for as long as I can remember. If I see something I like, I immediately think, can I make this? Not only do I love the challenge but DIY projects tend to be calming for me and I really get in the zone. Sewing was always something that interested me, but I had never got around to really diving into it. I remember thinking to myself before I went on mat leave, what am I going to do for a  whole year off?

Well, not long after Wyatt was born and we settled into a routine I quickly realized he loved sleep as much as his mama does! Which was (and still is!) a lot! With my husband working evenings and my little guy sleeping I was left with some time on my hands. I started taking sewing classes and quickly fell in love. This was how I was going to get through my year off. I was pretty fortunate that the classes I took we could pick our project and the teacher would guide and help.

So naturally having an infant and being obsessed with him, I picked to make baby clothes/accessories. After doing classes for a while I bought my own machines and started doing projects at home. I started making baby items for friends and family and they loved everything I made. It got me thinking that if they loved what I made, maybe other people would to? So that’s when Pint Size Wardrobe was born.

I launched the site in June of 2016, so I’m still pretty new at all this and learning things all the time! I’m also now trying to navigate being a full time working mom who also runs a side business. But I love the challenge, I really do love being a maker and it’s just all about finding a healthy balance!

I only use GOTS certified organic fabrics that I source from all over the world (currently gushing on fabrics from Europe and the US). I only want the best to be against your babes delicate skin! I offer sizes ranging from NB-5T depending on the item. I also take custom orders. On the site, you can find anything from leggings to shirts to beanies. I’m always on the hunt for new patterns to add to the shop and switch things up! Shipping is flat rate $5 untracked within Canada and $8 untracked to the US, you can upgrade to tracked orders if you’d like.

Thank you so much Sabrina for making these beautiful pieces for Wes! As a customer, I am blown away by your amazing customer service and attention to detail. I look forward to seeing the shop grow and can’t wait to add to our collection!

Be sure to check out the website for all the products and current prints (I’m eyeing these slim harems and  this cardigan) as well as her Facebook page and OF COURSE Instagram!
