Winesday Wednesday 7/1/15

Happy Winesday Wednesday AND Happy Canada Day! All the more reason to drink.

I don’t really have anything new to share. Womp, womp. I know. I had a Wild Rose Wraspberry Ale on the patio on Friday. I had a Grizzly Paw Beaver Tail Raspberry Ale in Canmore with lunch on Saturday, a glass of Seven Deadly Zins before bed, and a Stiegl Radler while trying to sunbathe on Sunday.

PS: There is nothing like a cold beer in the mountains. Anyone want to join me next time? I won’t bring the baby so we can drink more.

Sounds like a lot now that I really thing about it. Whatever. I think it took me like 3 hours to finish that glass of wine..how responsible of me.

Michael sent me a pic of more goodies this week:

Bell’s Oberon Ale (a wheat ale! Yum!) and MacMurray Ranch pinot noir (one of my current favorite type of reds!)

And my friend Amy sent me an article about a Keurig-Like Machine That Will Make the Perfect Cocktail. I think I would need this after I’ve had one or two drinks because I usually don’t care about ratios at that point and mixed drinks end up a mess. Anyone want to send me one? Thanks.

I’m off to get ready to celebrate Canada Day, hope you all have a good one!

I love sharing things I love. So this post should be ground zero for the stuff that’s been hitting the top of my list lately.

First up, Alterna Kendi Dry Oil Mist. I got a small bottle of this stuff in one of those monthly beauty subscription boxes and never thought to use it. Well, recently I started using it and it blows everything else I’ve tried out of the water. I have dried and styled my hair immediately after applying AND I’ve slept with it in damp hair. Both instances leave my hair super smooth and soft and just….wonderful. When my trial bottle started to get low, I searched online with bated breath that it was available in Canada. Sure enough, I saw that Sephora Canada carried it and I took my next work lunch walk over to snatch up a bottle.

Next, Sephora Rouge Cream Lipstick in Hot Tango. I have been hot on the trail for a red lipstick that suits my skin tone. Yesterday, I was in Sephora (again) and tested out the Hot Tango. After sleeping on it, I decided to head back today and bite the bullet.

I totally love it and it makes me feel powerful. Just have to make sure not to get outside the lines otherwise I could look a little too similar to Steve Buscemi.

Third- Taste of Nature Organic snack bars. I’ve found that I need a tiny pick me up in the afternoon before heading home. I’m pretty particular on how I eat during the week- especially now that I’m back to work and sitting for long period of time, it really takes a toll on my digestion, etc.- and I hunted throughout a variety of drug stores downtown before deciding on these bars. They have fantastic nutritional stats, all REAL ingredients, and well…they just taste FANTASTIC. So far, I’ve had the Quebec Cranberry Carnival and Brazilian Nut Fiesta. Perfect snacks, and I plan on stocking up when I get to Costco this weekend so I can have tons handy wherever I go.

Then there’s the Gap Dot Print Top. This was another purchase made during my ‘walk to the mall during my lunch and pretend to window shop but really buy a few things’ trip. I almost want an ‘occassion’ to wear this to before wearing it to work. I’m thinking of maybe wearing it when we go to Banff on Saturday. Best part of this purchase other than its cuteness? I got it for 50% off. I’m a SICK shopper.

Ok, so this isn’t a new favorite, but dang it it’s a GOOD favorite. Stiegl Radler. Add a shot of vodka to it and you’ve got yourself a good time. This stuff sells out QUICK every week at all the local liquor stores, so we like to stock up on it and keep it in the beer fridge.

That’s all I’ve got for now! Any of these hit your radar? What other Latests can you share with me?!!
