Love Child Organics {GIVEAWAY!}

Happy Monday everyone! That weekend came and went in a flash. Guess that’s what happens when it’s summer πŸ™‚ We spent a lot of time outdoors the past few days so the extra vitamin D has been a great boost in morale. So much so that Tyler is pretty much done with the bulk of renovations! Now it’s just a few touch ups here and there and some cleaning and we are done. DONE.

One of my favorite things about summer (besides the sun) is the food. BBQs and salads and the occasional soft serve….mmm so delicious. We have been indulging in quite a few grilled dinners and I have approximately zero regrets. There’s just something about barbecue + fresh fruits & veggies that I can’t get enough of. And ice cream.

Last summer, Wes was still too tiny to have any solid foods but this summer I am all too excited to introduce him to some of my favorite seasonal eats. We picked up some BC cherries at the Farmer’s Market this weekend and I don’t think we could have plowed through them any faster.

We’ve been spoiled in that Wes has been pretty good at trying every food we’ve offered. Occasionally there are days where he wants nothing to do with the mini version of our meals; or there are days where he’s more of a liquid diet guy; and then he discovered chocolate chip cookies….(I’ll admit, they are ALWAYS in the house. My B, my B)

Whenever we’ve exhausted all attempts of having him eat what we’ve prepared, we break out the secret weapon: Love Child Organics.

LCO’s product line is so extensive, that I can offer him a variety of goodies depending on his mood. And yes, my 14 month old already has food preferences based on his mood. I’m pretty much the same. Happy: cookies. Sad: cookies. Angry: Cookies. You get the idea.Β

Every morning on our walks, he requires a package ofΒ teefies.

It’s a grey area on whether he prefers the walk or the crackers every morning. I’m guessing it’s a combination of the two. We usually head out after breakfast and meander the neighbourhood for about an hour and the teefies keep him occupied most of the trip. My favorite part is watching his little hands hold on to them! So cute.

And when we’re hanging out in the yard, Toodle O’s seem to hit the spot. Never mind that 1/3 of them are usually fed to the dogs, but at least everyone is eating healthy then? I recently bought a mini fork and spoon for Wes and can’t wait to add milk to these and have him eat it like cereal. I’m guessing it’ll be a mess.

Currently, Wes is on a veggie strike. Ok, I take that back. He will eat raw cucumber and peppers, but will spit most of it out after chewing on it for a while. I’m a stickler for making sure we all get in some veggies each day, so the purees have been a godsend in making sure Wes hits his quota. Plus, he’s holding the pouch himself now, so this mama is happy to have a few free moments! (Until it’s passed off to one of the dogs)

Whenever we leave the house, at least one of LCO goodies make it into the diaper bag and are almost immediately consumed. I really love that LCO offers a wide variety of products and flavors to keep Wes interested in food and it’s even better that it’s healthy for him!
