Hi friends! Long time no talk. Still on vacation over here, so our routine has been a bit off and I’ve hardly found the time to sit in front of the computer! Once again, photo overshare on some of the things we’ve been up to lately…
Tuesday morning I had arranged to take a yoga class at Common Roots Brewing then get a tour of the facility and chat with the owners about their beer (fun fun fun) but there was a slight mixup and no yoga happened. BUT- I did end up talking with one of the owners for over an hour and learned SO much about brewing in New York State. Plus, he sent me home with some crawlers! Seriously, SO much information. And beer.
The order of operations for the rest of the day went as follows: workout, ice cream, kiddie pool, dunkin donuts, and a long solo walk.
Wednesday started off with protein waffles and some light reading, then I did my workout in the garage while Wes napped. I have been pretty good this whole vacation with my workouts- it helps that I’m following the Insanity schedule, so I can mindlessly turn my computer on, bust out a 40 minute SWEATY workout, and be done with it.
At some point that morning, Wes and I went to Target and he charmed the pants right off the cashier so she gave him a sticker.
That afternoon, we all headed up to Lake George to spend some time at the beach. Wes was uncertain about the sand and the water but really enjoyed me holding him and walking in to about waist deep. I tried quickly dunking him a few times and got a few giggles out of him.
All the sun and new surroundings tired the dude out, so while he napped back home I walked to Cooper’s Cave for some ice cream. Because it makes sense to opt to WALK to go get ICE CREAM. #winning
Thursday was MY BIRTHDAY! I drank my Shakeo for breakfast, plowed through a tough workout, then headed on the road to check out some local breweries. The guy at Common Roots did me a huge solid and set up a couple of private tours and tastings for me at 3 craft breweries- what a good dude. (Sharing more on that later this week!)

I met my parents and Wes at Druther’s in Saratoga for dinner and inhaled a delicious pizza to round out the road trip. Once we got home I had cake cake cake cake cake. My favorite.
Friday, Wes and I hit the road early to head to New Hampshire and see my BEST FRIEND. (Not sorry for the frequent all-caps words. I am enthusiastic today). We made a pit stop in Vermont to check out the view and stretch our legs for a few minutes.
And of course, I have zero photos of the two of us from our visit. Poop. 2 moms + 3 kiddos = chaos. We were finally able to sit down at 10pm once all babies were sleeping and chat for a bit. I wish we could have stayed longer OR at least stayed up later to have girl talk, but momming is hard. haha
Bonus: Wes napped and slept like a dream throughout the entire trip and stay!
Saturday: Wes and I headed back to NY after breakfast but I made a quick detour to check out my alma mater. Not sure why I wanted to, but I guess it’s this weird internal pull you have as a graduate? Who knows.
Funny story, as I was taking this picture a guy pulled up and asked what team I was on. Uhhh…no team buddy. Turns out he was referencing whatever the hell that stupid Pokemon game is. #jeeze
After a rainy drive home and possibly the groggiest nap ever, I headed out to my friend Amy’s bridal shower!
Sunday: It was a nice low key morning after a crazy few days.

In the afternoon we did a little shopping at the mall then visited my parents favorite place, Dunkins!
Apparently we needed to get home for all the texting and emailing Wes needed to do…
That’s it from this end! Lots more coming this week 🙂
Sounds like you have been having a great time at home 🙂
Went to a local brewpub this weekend and thought of you. 🙂
Those red Adirondack chairs are pretty.
Dude! Seriously sweaty. I actually hate being super sweaty like that. I do my workouts with the fan on me full blast.
Makes me love yoga day- not as much sweat! Haha
Looks like you’re having a great vacation! You’re heading home just in time for all the rain and storms 😉
I’ve been loving all your vacation Snaps!
Looks like you had so much fun
